language (OneWorld Gifted, May 13, 2018)

Sarah Johansen is aware that people in the nearest town of Empire City would like to see her give up her post to a more suitable candidate. But after recovering from losing her young husband- the keeper at the Gregory Light Station, and being forced into the role of keeper herself, Sarah has finally found purpose in her life and pride in her abilities to tend to her island home and the light that she's come to love. In the midst of trying to convince the Lighthouse Service and the city council that she is a strong woman who is fully capable of living on the isolated island and taking superior care of the light tower, a ship wrecks in the fog, leaving Sarah an unwelcome and injured guest- a rugged and charming man named Samuel Parker, who threatens the safety and self-confidence Sarah has found. It doesn't help that every time she looks at him her breath catches and her hands shake from his striking good looks and she can't get anything done around the light tower or keeper's house while he needs her constant care. When her old assistant keeper, Gary disappears and frightening strangers begin sneaking around the island at night, Sarah realizes that she needs Samuel around more than she'd like to believe. Unfortunately she’s already pushed him away enough that he may not want her now. And if the Empire City Council gets their way, Sarah may not have a home on the island after all.
